Hey all,
If at all possible, you should get a Skype id if you don't already have one. All you need is a computer, headphones, microphone, and internet access.
I'm trying to find a time that we can all talk before I leave next Wednesday for Mongolia, but time is quickly disappearing.
The Assignment
I would like to see a "before" video. It should have interviews and shots of someone who is preparing for the race. The following questions are suggestions and could be used as a basis of the video:
- Why are you going on the race?
- What do you expect to happen?
- What are problems you have run into as you prepare?
- Do you have doubts about what you're doing
- Have you run into any adversity as you prepare?
- How have you seen God work?
I think this video should be three to five minutes long and cover
at least two racers. These racers
could be from among the media team, but, ideally, they would be from outside the team.
Here's a list of needed roles:
- Script writer(s)
- Director - Makes the final decisions for production
- Videographers(s)
- Editors
- Interviewers
- This may have to be done remotely…
- In a pinch, you could interview yourself
Decide which of the roles you would be fit into, then let us know, either in the comments or in a blog entry. It is entirely possible that you could/should do more than one of these roles simultaneously.
I'd like to see b-roll/rough-cut/preliminary footage by the week of 7/9.
Let's get busy!!
